Technically, you are not decreasing caliber, as both 9mm and .380 use the same diameter bullet. You are decreasing overall cartridge length, which equates to less velocity at the muzzle and less energy, as well as less recoil. A lot of people prefer the .380 due to ease of use racking the slide over a 9mm, as the springs are lighter.
In my opinion, the P365 trigger is smooth enough. Any gains achieved by polishing will not likely show up on your target 7-15 yards away. Where and how consistently the bullet hits should be the goal, not the feel of the trigger. To my understanding none of the metal grip modules share holster compatibility with the own grip modules. i believe sig will eventually release an axg grip module for the p365 series it just won't be a legion.
